The right of every citizen to have access to the electricity system is guaranteed by Brazilian law. Aiming to present a solution that guarantees electricity for residences in isolated areas, this case study aims to report the implementation of a photovoltaic solar system to generate electricity and a biogas system to generate cooking gas in a residence in the community Três Unidos. To meet the objectives, the method is based on the study of the development of hybrid microgrids using solar energy with biomass for communities in the Amazon and bibliographical reading of the implemented systems and their components, report of the field visits carried out and questionnaire applied to the resident. The implanted system was to generate 3.3 Wp and a commercial biodigestor model HomeBiogas 7.0 to generate cooking gas, with two 100 Ah, 48V lithium-ion batteries. It is concluded that, despite the initial challenges and the distances for technical support of the problems faced in the post-installation, the family’s expenses with gas decreased by one third and the electric generation brought several benefits, including the work with handicraft material.
